Executive Director

Warrington Soccer Club, founded in 1985, is seeking an Executive Director to oversee the club’s day-to-day operations, foster and promote the mission and needs of the club throughout the community, and serve as the facilitator of the club’s committees and main point of contact for significant issues affecting the development and delivery of the clubs programs, services, and tournaments.

Warrington Soccer Club provides the surrounding communities with competitive and recreational soccer opportunities for players ages 4 to 19. The club operates as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to developing the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and integrity while encouraging players to develop a passion for the game of soccer and to maximize their potential. Approaching our 30th anniversary, the club currently has approximately 2,000 children drawing predominantly from the Central Bucks communities of Warrington, Doylestown, Jamison, Warwick, Chalfont, and New Britain

The Executive Director will report to the club’s Board of Directors. The Executive Director has three primary areas of responsibility:

1) Oversees day-to-day club operations – Facilitate and coordinate the efforts of the volunteer Board of Directors. In partnership with the Board, produces, updates and manages the strategic and operational plan and budget that reflects long term objectives of the club. Coordinates activities to leverage existing volunteer resources to achieve club mission and goals. Actively recruits committee members and volunteers. Facilitates and develops club committees as well as assisting in organization, monitoring activities, and ensuring effective transition between years. Keeps Board well informed (on a timely basis) of significant issues affecting the development and delivery of programs and services. Work with the Director of Coaching to make sure all organizational tasks within the coaching program are completed and executed with professionalism.

2) Establish and maintain the club’s business relationships - Negotiate and maintain relationships with the club’s suppliers and vendors.  Solicit and manage bids for purchase orders and contracts. Build and continue to develop positive relationships with our local municipalities regarding field usage and other related issues. Manage external partnerships, and marketing and sponsorship relationships.  Ensure organizational compliance with relevant organizations (EPYSA, ICSL etc)

3) Marketing, Communications, Fundraising, and Website Management - Communicate with parents of players and the community for effective implementation of all the club’s programs.  Maintain and manage the club’s website and email communications. Creates, implements and monitors a comprehensive development plan including solicitation of team sponsors, capital donors, events, grant writing and fundraising activities for the club as needed. 

Qualifications: At least 5 years supervisory experience and experience with non-profit fundraising, sales or marketing are strongly recommended. Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required and advanced degree in finance, business administration, or non-profit management or professional equivalent experience is preferred. Position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to build stakeholder relationships, a high-level of organization, and computer proficiency specifically, Microsoft Office – Excel and Word, and HTML. Applicant should be self-motivated, be able to work autonomously and also be able to lead teams of volunteers and employees. Soccer knowledge a plus, but not mandatory.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
